The Essential Nine 九靈元聖

Also known as the Essences of Creation. The Essential Nine embody the most fundamental concepts without which the world could not take shape. They reside in the Conceptual Realm, the projection of which in the material realms is Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. The Essences operate in consonance with the greater flow of Karmic force, though misunderstanding and superstition often lead people to believe they are instead the directors of Karma itself. Traditional worshippers seek guidance from Sirius to glimpse the workings of karma and thereby understand their future fate. In the study of Mana, invoking the Essences as symbols under specific circumstances can theoretically summon enormous power from beyond the earthen realms.
